Video Production: Nigeria’s Chairmanship of the Rabat Process in the International Migration Debate

by Francis Camstra in
Video Production: Nigeria’s Chairmanship of the Rabat Process in the International Migration Debate For this video production, we brought together the highlights of the Nigerian chairmanship within the Rabat Process into one comprehensive film. The client, the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), sought an effective way to summarize complex diplomatic decisions regarding migration, human trafficking and sustainable reintegration into society into a powerful visual message. The film combines interviews with international policymakers and experts. They discuss key milestones, such as the Niamey Declaration and the impressive results of the Nigerian organization NAPTIP in the fight against human trafficking. We visualize the policy side and simultaneously emphasize the human impact. The successful support for victims and the protection of African youth are central to this narrative. The video concludes with the official handover of the chairmanship to Switzerland, providing a complete overview of a successful chairmanship. Looking to have an event video produced? Educational Video: The Role of Probation in Criminal Law

by Francis Camstra in
Educational Video: The Role of Probation in Criminal Law We produced a twenty minute educational film for the Center for International Legal Cooperation (CILC). The goal of this project is to train Ukrainian judges and legal professionals in applying probation and alternative sanctions. Ukraine has been reforming its criminal justice system since 2015. CILC needed an effective way to accurately translate the theory of the Dutch model into foreign practice. The video clarifies legal theory using a realistic case study. We follow the entire criminal process of a fictional suspect from the initial arrest to the final verdict in the courtroom. Between the acted scenes, the involved professionals directly explain the reasoning behind their choices. A public prosecutor, a judge and a probation officer detail how they collaborate to reduce the risk of recidivism and provide tailored sentencing. This approach makes complex legal considerations and interagency cooperation immediately understandable. The film was produced in Dutch with Ukrainian and English subtitles and currently serves as a training tool for the judicial academy in Ukraine. The format is designed so it can be easily translated for training programs in other countries in the future. Looking to have an educational video produced? Get […]

FAQ Series Kosovo Specialist Chambers: Living Conditions in Detention We produced a series of FAQ videos for the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC). This episode focuses on the daily living conditions in the detention facilities in The Hague. The challenge was to provide a clear and factual view of a closed-off world, while being completely transparent about the strict international human rights standards the court must uphold. In the video, we translate formal detention rules into daily practice. We highlight concrete details, such as access to sports, native-language media, family visits, and religious services. Furthermore, we clearly explain the independent oversight by the Ombudsperson and the International Committee of the Red Cross, as well as the established complaint procedures. By focusing on these practical aspects, we create a transparent and neutral picture that helps dispel public misconceptions. To ensure maximum reach, this video was produced in English, Serbian, and Albanian. Looking to have a video produced? Get in touch: info@tasfilms.nl +31 6 246 521 61

FAQ Series Kosovo Specialist Chambers: Judicial Independence

by Francis Camstra in
FAQ Series Kosovo Specialist Chambers: Who oversees the decisions of the judges in The Hague? We produced a series of FAQ videos for the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC). This episode focuses on the independence and oversight of judges. The court wanted to clarify to the public exactly how its system of checks and balances operates. The challenge for us was to explain an abstract legal principle, the separation of powers and judicial accountability, in a clear, factual, and convincing way. In this video, we explain how judges are held accountable through a code of ethics and how oversight works through the appeals process. Like the rest of the series, this video was produced in English, Serbian, and Albanian. Looking to have a video produced? Get in touch: info@tasfilms.nl +31 6 246 521 61

FAQ Series Kosovo Specialist Chambers: Human Rights of Defendants

by Francis Camstra in
FAQ Series Kosovo Specialist Chambers: Human Rights of Defendants We produced a series of FAQ videos for the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) to provide direct answers to the public’s most pressing questions. This episode centers on protecting the human rights of defendants. The court asked us to clearly explain the complex legal mechanisms that guarantee a fair trial to the communities in Kosovo. In the video, we unpack the different layers of protection: from the judges in the courtroom and the appeals process, to the independent oversight by the Constitutional Court and the Ombudsperson. By emphasizing that all decisions regarding complaints are publicly available, we make the abstract concept of ‘human rights’ concrete and verifiable for the viewer. The result is a factual explainer showing that the justice system operates under the highest international standards. To ensure maximum reach, this video was also produced in English, Serbian, and Albanian. Looking to have a video produced? Get in touch: info@tasfilms.nl +31 6 246 521 61

FAQ Series Kosovo Specialist Chambers: Witness Protection

by Francis Camstra in
Kosovo Specialist Chambers FAQ: What can the court do about attempts to intimidate or influence witnesses? We produced a series of FAQ videos for the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) to provide direct answers to the public’s most pressing questions. This episode centers on a highly complex and sensitive topic: witness intimidation. The challenge for us was to clearly explain the frameworks surrounding safety and the reasons why trials are held in The Hague to communities in Kosovo. The message needed to be factual and firm, while simultaneously instilling trust in vulnerable victims and witnesses. In this video, not only explain that influencing witnesses is a criminal offense, but we also concretely show that the court takes strict action against it by highlighting actual convictions. By directly addressing the real concerns of the population, we transform abstract legal protection measures into a clear and reassuring signal: witness protection is the highest priority. To ensure maximum reach across all communities, this video was also produced in English, Serbian, and Albanian. Looking to have a video produced? Get in touch: info@tasfilms.nl +31 6 246 521 61

Kosovo Specialist Chambers Ombudsperson – Inspecting the Detention Facilities

by Francis Camstra in
FAQ Series Kosovo Specialist Chambers: The Role of the Ombudsperson We produced a series of FAQ videos for the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) to explain specific legal roles to a broad audience. The challenge for this episode about the Ombudsperson was to present a formal mandate regarding fundamental rights and detention inspections in a factual and transparent way. The explanation needed to be authoritative and informative, without feeling detached. We opted for a direct approach where the Ombudsperson speaks straight to the viewer. Complex frameworks, such as the distinction between the powers of judges and those of an independent watchdog, are distilled to their absolute core. This immediately puts a human face to a heavy formal position and helps to build trust. To ensure the message is accessible to all affected communities, we delivered this production in English, Serbian, and Albanian. Looking to have a video produced? Video Production for the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) How do you clearly explain a multi-year, legally complex, and politically sensitive trial to a broad audience? The Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) asked us to produce a video summarizing the trial of former KLA leaders. The challenge: making the facts and legal procedures transparent while maintaining absolute neutrality and respecting the judicial process. Moreover, the narrative needed to be accessible to all affected communities. In this explainer, we translate a dense legal reality into an accessible timeline. We distill massive amounts of data and procedural steps down to a clear core message. To ensure maximum transparency, we didn’t just produce this video in English; we also delivered dedicated Serbian and Albanian versions. In this way, a heavy, complex process becomes a clear, factual story for everyone involved. Looking to have a video produced? Get in touch: info@tasfilms.nl +31 6 246 521 61

Strategy of the ICC Office of the Prosecutor

by Francis Camstra in
Video Production for the International Criminal Court (ICC) How do you translate a complex, operational need into a story that resonates? The International Criminal Court wanted to convince Member States of the urgent need to invest in the foundation of the Court. They asked us to produce a video showing that capacity behind the scenes has direct consequences for victims worldwide. In this video, we bring legal theory into daily practice. By connecting the vision of top officials, such as Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan, to the reality of Darfur survivor Niemat Ahmadi, a layered narrative emerges. The message: justice isn’t just about the courtroom itself, but about the invisible teams that build and support the cases. In this way, a strategic request for resources becomes an urgent, human appeal. Looking to have a video produced? Get in touch: info@tasfilms.nl +31 6 246 521 61
