FAQ Series Kosovo Specialist Chambers: Witness Protection

Kosovo Specialist Chambers FAQ: What can the court do about attempts to intimidate or influence witnesses?

We produced a series of FAQ videos for the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) to provide direct answers to the public’s most pressing questions. This episode centers on a highly complex and sensitive topic: witness intimidation. The challenge for us was to clearly explain the frameworks surrounding safety and the reasons why trials are held in The Hague to communities in Kosovo. The message needed to be factual and firm, while simultaneously instilling trust in vulnerable victims and witnesses.

In this video, not only explain that influencing witnesses is a criminal offense, but we also concretely show that the court takes strict action against it by highlighting actual convictions. By directly addressing the real concerns of the population, we transform abstract legal protection measures into a clear and reassuring signal: witness protection is the highest priority. To ensure maximum reach across all communities, this video was also produced in English, Serbian, and Albanian.
