FAQ Series Kosovo Specialist Chambers: The Role of the Ombudsperson

We produced a series of FAQ videos for the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) to explain specific legal roles to a broad audience. The challenge for this episode about the Ombudsperson was to present a formal mandate regarding fundamental rights and detention inspections in a factual and transparent way. The explanation needed to be authoritative and informative, without feeling detached.

We opted for a direct approach where the Ombudsperson speaks straight to the viewer. Complex frameworks, such as the distinction between the powers of judges and those of an independent watchdog, are distilled to their absolute core. This immediately puts a human face to a heavy formal position and helps to build trust. To ensure the message is accessible to all affected communities, we delivered this production in English, Serbian, and Albanian.
