FAQ Series Kosovo Specialist Chambers: Living Conditions in Detention

We produced a series of FAQ videos for the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC). This episode focuses on the daily living conditions in the detention facilities in The Hague. The challenge was to provide a clear and factual view of a closed-off world, while being completely transparent about the strict international human rights standards the court must uphold.

In the video, we translate formal detention rules into daily practice. We highlight concrete details, such as access to sports, native-language media, family visits, and religious services. Furthermore, we clearly explain the independent oversight by the Ombudsperson and the International Committee of the Red Cross, as well as the established complaint procedures. By focusing on these practical aspects, we create a transparent and neutral picture that helps dispel public misconceptions. To ensure maximum reach, this video was produced in English, Serbian, and Albanian.
